It's on like Donkey Kong

It looks like some "Anonymous" group is going after the Koch Brothers. The guys in the Guy Fawkes mask don't play. They went after Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen. They have a pretty good track record of going after Billionaire Dictators.

It's on like Donkey Kong.

10 Year Plans

the koch bros

The following article makes the connection of big business controlling us from cradle to the grave. Other than Union bustng and having politicians in their pocket they now want to control pension funds WORLDWIDE. This has been in the works for ten years.

H/T to The Swash Zone
UPDATE FROM OCTO: Two years ago, I posted this announcement about taking leave from the Swash Zone to collaborate on a story with Lindsay Beyerstein of Focal Point. Two years later, the project remains on hold, and the story untold. I am still constrained from revealing certain details, but I will volunteer this for now: The story is about a ten year plan to break the unions, dismantle all Defined Benefit Pensions in America, and seize pension assets.

You guessed it. The Wisconsin story and the collaboration between Lindsay and Octopus are interconnected. Here is a brief synopsis:

The story involves former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Senator Max Baucus of Montana, former Secretary of the Treasury John Snow, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and 103 legislators in the House of Representatives.
Over 1,100 retired airline pilots lost 40% of their pension funds when their employer, USAir, filed for bankruptcy protection. Every organization and institution offering redress failed the pilots at every step along the way.
US Air (employer) declared bankruptcy after 9/11 and alleged that all pilot pension funds had been lost. During the discovery phase following bankruptcy proceedings, USAir admitted having 78% of the funds which was turned over to the PBGC; later it was shown that US Air had 103% of the funds.
ALPA - the airline pilot union abandoned their retired pilots by refusing to represent them in claims against USAir … thus violating their own bylaws;
U.S. Congress -– The pilots lobbied Congress to redress their grievance. The Airline Pension Act of 2003 (the bill known as HR 2719) was sponsored by 103 legislators but died in committee;
The Law firm representing the pilots was bought by a rival firm that represented only management; thus the original law firm withdrew from case;
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) – Although the PBGC recovered 103% of the pension funds, pilots are receiving only 60% of their pensions; there is a pending class action suit between the pilots and the PBGC.
Current Status – of the 1,100 retired pilots participating in the class action suit, 285 have since died – with no resolution after 8 years of litigation. The matter is still pending.
At one point during the lobbying effort, one of the petitioners (a retired pilot) was pulled aside by a chief aid of one of the senators mentioned above, who said:

“[Name redacted], I want to tell you something in strict confidence. If they find out I told you, it will cost me my career and my future. They are not only NOT going to help you, but it is their agenda to dismantle all Defined Benefit Plans worldwide, not just in the U.S.”
According to this aid, these were the goals of the leadership: To remove all legacy costs as a long-term obligation off corporate books with the goal of increasing shareholder value. Not targeting pilots specifically, their aim was to use USAir as a test case for cutting legacy costs in key industries, such as automotive and steel and the public sector, by circumventing or overturning laws that protected these pensions. The pilots were chosen as a test case because they were regarded negatively as “under-worked, over-paid playboys.”

Former Treasury Secretary John Snow was formerly the Chairman of CSX Corporation, a holding company sold to the Carlisle Group after Snow accepted a cabinet post in the Bush/Cheney administration. Dick Cheney held board positions in CSX and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). EDS was the largest creditor named in the USAir bankruptcy filing. As Treasury Secretary, Snow had jurisdiction over the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). Snow was Cheney's choice for the Treasury position. These are the relationships between the key players in this story.

As you can surmise from the above synopsis, busting unions and seizing pension assets has been a long term objective of the GOP. Lindsay and Octopus are awaiting the outcome of litigation between the pilots and the PBGC before publishing the full account.

Solidarity

Black Uhuru - Solidarity Lyrics

What's the matter, people?

Solidarity, solidarity

Everybody wants the same thing, don't they?
Everybody wants a happy end
They wanna see the game on Saturday
They wanna be somebody's friend

Everybody wanna work for a living
Everybody wants their children warm
Everybody wants to be forgiven
They want a shelter from the storm

Look at me, I ain't your enemy
We walk on common ground
We don't need to fight each other
What we need, what we need

Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity

Nobody likes to ask for money
Somebody likes to play the clown
Nobody likes to wait in a long line
Nobody likes being pushed around

Everybody wants their family protected
They wanna express themselves
Everybody wants to live forever

Look at me I ain't your enemy
Don't believe everything you hear
This is no time to fight each other
What we need, what we need

Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity

Hey, people

Everybody wants the same thing, don't they?
Everybody wants a happy end
They wanna see the game on Saturday
They wanna be somebody's friend

Everybody wants the same thing, don't they?
Everybody wants a happy end
They wanna see the game on Saturday
They wanna be somebody's friend

Everybody wanna work for a living
They wanna keep their children warm
Everybody just wants to be forgiven
They want a shelter from the storm

What we need, what we need

Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity
Solidarity, solidarity

It all has to come from somewhere

I'm told that the Democratic Party was the ones that supported racism when it was founded. Well which party supports it now? All of these photos are Republicans. From the little child to the second e-mail of a noose sent to a politician. Idiots like Andrew Breitbart like to remind us that the Democrats started the Klan. Well who runs it now Andrew? Maybe Andrew might bring up Black racism. I haven't seen any little Black kids joining racist organizations. We're led to believe that 12.5% of the population controls 87.5% of the people. Now the people of Wisconsin got hip and now they want to throw the Republicans out. Well no time like the present. Looks like the Race Card played out for the Republicans.

Help Pull the Plug on Glenn Beck !

Help Pull the Plug on Glenn Beck
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the shooting rampage in Tucson that left six people dead and thirteen injured, including Congresswoman Giffords, Fox News President Roger Ailes appealed for civility:  “I told all of our guys, shut up, tone it down, make your argument intellectually. You don’t have to do it with bombast.

Weeks after Tucson, nothing has changed.  If anything, Fox News has turned up the volume on partisan hate speech.  Fevered hysteria and conspiratorial fear mongering on national television are not harmless.

How quickly we forget the lessons of history. The bogeymen of 1930s anti-Semitism that morphed into the bogeymen of 1950s McCarthyism has morphed again into the mainstreaming of Glenn Beck Militia Theater. The message is clear: Glenn Beck wants to extort your silence, and anyone who refuses to capitulate will be targeted and stalked:

Glenn Beck, Self-Appointed "Progressive Hunter"
The poisoned atmosphere unleashed by Glenn Beck and Fox News means any citizen - Democrat, Centrist, or Republican - can be slandered in public and targeted for persecution.  Beck pitches his messages at unhinged misfits who are most likely to act on impulse, and events have shown that violent rhetoric leads to violent acts. There is no plausible deniability that can remove this blood from Beck’s hands:

Murders, shooting sprees, domestic terrorism, private citizens hiding in fear, infamous intimidations and provocations broadcast on national television - all linked to Glenn Beck - enough is enough!  When toxic television threatens public safety, it concerns everyone.  Even prominent Republicans are becoming alarmed:

Former Bush speechwriter David Frum:

Former Bush speechwriter Peter Wehner:

National correspondent for The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg:

It is time to pull the plug on Glenn Beck and serve notice to Fox News that partisan hate speech has no place in a free society. The strongest message you can send is to vote your pocketbook. Write letters to Fox News advertisers; tell them you will no longer patronize their products and services; and keep boycotting sponsors of Fox News until these outrageous partisan witch-hunts have stopped. Removing Glenn Beck from the airwaves will save lives.

    Thanks Mr. Breitbart

First off I would like to thank Andrew Breitbart for getting evidence for Shirley Sharrod's lawyers to prove that he's a bigot. This cartoon came from his site. Breitbart claims that he's not a racist, well let's have a jury decide that.

    "We just make things up".

A former Fox employee made the statement that they just make the news up. Not really that much of a shock, except that the so-called MSM is not reporting on it. Well it's about time that the word finally gets out to Republicans,shut-ins, and people who for some medical reason can't get up and change the channel themselves.

This just in. Shirley Sharrod just filed suit against Andrew Breitbart.

    It can't happen here

    mubarek

Some people were so busy spreading Democracy that america needs to pratice what it preaches. In some countries the sons of the rich rulers get a chance to rule themselves. It's called a dynasty. How can we tell Egypt what to do when we don't do it ourselves? Mubarek is dangerous, he's bush and the Koch family all rolled up into one. He has political power and monetary power. One man don't need $74 Billion. He's richer than the Koch family by $25 Billion.

Sorry Mrs. Jackson, I think you're nuts!

She said that Fox is the only place she can get the truth from. She must be smoking some of the leftovers from Rick James private stash.

    nightmare

Yes Keith Olbermann is coming back to TV, well sort of. It is rumored that Current TV is giving Keith a share of the network and a show. Whatever it is , good luck Keith. We miss you, we really really miss you.

    Now get back to work.

    Perception and Reality

    the warriors

I have just been told that I "doctored" photos of someone at "The fox nation" of wanting to hurt the President. First like all other threats people reported it to the Secret Service. People don't play around when it's concerning the President's life. Now at Fox they really don't give a flying you know what. Let's take Beck as a example.

Beck has surpass almost everyone at Fox for wanting to start a race riot. Every day he calls blacks stupid, unpatriotic, and lazy among other things. He reminds me of the DJ on movie "The Warriors" that every time the gang would save themselves another obstacle was put in their way. You know something, Radio Rwanda works the same way too.

Can a brother watch a football game in peace?

After Bill Oreilly interigated the President and was rude to him Fox needed something negative to say about the POTUS. The Fox Nation complained about him not wearing a tie, he got death threats. The people at Fox should learn that they should be more responsible. If people have no respect for this President, then why respect ANY President? If a Republican is the next in line, how do you think that people are going to act? No one I know took guns to ANY Presidential rally. No one I know make death threats about the President. This has all become the norm at Fox. Some grown ups need to step in and squealch the static.

    Hat Tip to KingOneEye

Mr. President don't fall for the Okie Doke

    half time

While you watch the game between Pittsburgh and Green Bay, remember Fox is always at work. O'Liely is going to interview the President. We all know what a scumbag ole Bill is and how he hates black people. People should remember that the President's comments carry a lot of weight and Oreilly hate Muslims. Their little conversation could cause as Oreilly said "WWIII". So the POTUS is being interviewed by a anti-Islam, anti-Black bigot. I think this will look better than any of the President's best speeches. Imagine Martin Luther King being interview by Eugene "Bull" Connor , yes you understand now. The slightest faux pas and the Maghrib and the Middle East could be in MORE flames.

    Cairo Styled Tea Party

    cairo tea party

They pay people to protest. They lie to the press. They bring guns to political rallies. They push violence at political rallies and then blame the other side. They shoot people to death no matter their age, but enough about America.

How can America be the example for Democracy when the Koch Brothers and Fox won't allow it here? They are just following what they see us do on TV. Astroturfing, ratfucking, finding plants and marks, there's no difference between the right and Hosni Mubarak.

If it's good enough for America, it's good enough for Egypt.

Doocy on Reagan: "I Miss Reagan", but Hinckley didn't

    Reagan

"If an individual wants to discriminate against Negroes or others in selling or renting his house, it is his right to do so".
    Ronald Reagan

You ever wonder why Black people hate Reagan? Here's something from Wikipedia:

    Minorities

Reagan did not support federal initiatives to provide blacks with civil rights. He opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson. His opposition was based on his view that certain provisions of both Acts violated the US Constitution and in the case of the 1964 Act, intruded upon the civil rights of business and property owners.

Reagan did not consider himself a racist, and dismissed any attacks aimed at him relating to racism as attacks on his personal character and integrity. His opposition to certain federal government civil rights acts were not because he was racist, but because he believed in states rights.

Reagan gave a States' Rights speech in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the town where three civil rights workers were murdered in 1964, when running for president in 1980 and said (while campaigning in Georgia) that Confederate President Jefferson Davis was "a hero of mine." However, Reagan was offended that some accused him of racism. In 1980 Reagan said the Voting Rights Act was "humiliating to the South," although he later supported extending the Act. He opposed Fair Housing legislation in California (the Rumford Fair Housing Act), but in 1988 signed a law expanding the Fair Housing Act of 1968. Reagan was unsuccessful in trying to veto another civil rights bill in March of the same year. Reagan supported South Africa in spite of apartheid, but yielded to pressure from Congress. At first Reagan opposed the Martin Luther King holiday, and signed it only after an overwhelming veto-proof majority (338 to 90 in the House of Representatives and 78 to 22 in the Senate) voted in favor of it. Congress overrode Reagan's veto of the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1988. Reagan said the Restoration Act would impose too many regulations on churches, the private sector and state and local governments.

This man and his CIA brought Crack to the hood. The only thing Ronald Reagan gave Black peoople was a hard time and free Government cheese. He dumped James Brady to the side when it became expedient. He distroyed Unions. He invaded a poor defenseless Caribean country for no reason at all. He was David Duke's brother from another mother.

I have as much respect for Ronald Reagan as Glenn Beck has for the memory of Dr. King.

    HE WAS A RACIST!

Is Juan Williams a Koch head?

    uncle juan

I was trying to look for material to put into a diary about the Koch Family . At the same time I wanted to do a diary about Juan Williams coming to town, guess what happened.

    PRESENT
Education Revolution: Restoring America's Exceptionalism Tour

American 15-year-olds rank 35th out of 57 countries in math and literacy, behind almost all industrialized nations! America shouldn’t be 35th in anything. Be part of the revolution to restore America’s exceptionalism!

Special guests, Juan Williams, Fox News political commentator, author and journalist, and Hugh Hewitt, popular radio talk show host will be featured speakers at the town hall. Matt Mayer, President of the Buckeye Institute, will serve as moderator, and the panel will include other guests such as State Treasurer Josh Mandel, who will speak on the subject of school choice.

MANY THANKS TO OUR COALITION PARTNERS:

The Foundation for Educational Choice - www.edchoice.org
    From Education Revolution website:

Now we all know Juan as the Democratic quissling and the Washington General of the Fox Channel. Hugh is a Right Wing radio talk show host who had a guest on his show Friday called for the bombing of Egypt. Josh Mandel is the new Treasures of the State of Ohio that called his opponent Kevin Boyce a Muslim:

Boy that was nasty , wasn't it. I wonder if everyone on the panel hates Muslims? Now I wanted to find out on this "fair and balanced" panel on School Choice who was Matt Mayer?

    Here's Matt's bio:

    From Desmoblog:

According to the tax records reviewed by Greenpeace from David H. Koch Charitable Foundation, Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation and the Claude R. Lambe Charitable Foundation:

•Top recipients in 2009 included The Institute for Humane Studies, the Mercatus Center, Americans for Prosperity, the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute.
    • Americans for Prosperity has now received over $5.6 million in documented donations from the Koch foundations

So it looks like Matt basically works for the Koch Brothers. So this impartial, bi-partisan panel wanted to discuss education? From what I can see so far is that the Buckeye Institute which Matt Mayer works for is a School Teacher, Union busting, Charter School only entity. Come on why else was Juan Williams there? Bill Oreilly talked to him on his radio and TV show and basically said in his face that he was suprised that Black people have decient table manners and we don't scream for our Mf'er Ice Tea. Juan basically gets money on Fox to be Bill Oreilly's punching bag. As Juan said when the President won his partys nomination "the fix is in". Juan is a whore but he don't work cheap, just ask Rupert.

So the Koch family affects every American on all levels, from what they're doing to the climate, Astroturf organization to attack the President, to affecting your local schools, the fix is in.Lying to people and making this look like a bi-partisian effort only makes the Republican Party and it's members look more and more Machellivian.
