An interesting pattern now seems to be coming from Joe Lieberman: He is now reminding us all how much he respects Barack Obama, even if he's for John McCain this time around.
In a conference call with Connecticut reporters on Friday, Lieberman bristled at the media's coverage of the McCain campaign's negativity. "You guys are going down a road, you have contributed to the demeaning of our politics by this kind of focus," Lieberman said. "I mean, give me a break. Have any of you been out listening to me?"
"When I go out, I say, 'I have a lot of respect for Sen. Obama. He's bright. He's eloquent.' Someday, I might even support him for president," Lieberman told a conference call of Connecticut reporters. "But now in the midst of this series of crises, John McCain is simply so much better prepared that that's who I am proud to support."
Lieberman also said that if McCain doesn't, "I'm going to do everything I can to be bringing people ... together across party lines to support the new president so he can succeed."
This seems like a serious change of pace, to say the least, for Lieberman to be talking about how much he likes Obama and how he could potentially support him for president down the road. Indeed, it invites questions about what might have prompted Lieberman's change of tone.
For context, it's worth looking at some other things Joe has said this campaign season:
• In an interview with the right-wing site NewsMax a little over two weeks ago, Lieberman endorsed GOP attacks against Obama over Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright: "And one of the things you want to know is who have they associated with, because it may help you know who they'll listen to when they get into office."
• In the same interview, he left the door open on switching parties: "Well, I've thought about it. But this term is about over, so i'll take up this question again."
• During his speech at the Republican Convention, Lieberman repeated the smear that Obama "was voting to cut off funding for our troops on the ground."
• While campaigning for McCain back in August, Lieberman said that Obama does not "put the country first."
So the big question here, really, is what happened in the last few weeks that turned Obama from someone who doesn't put the country first, might listen to anti-American characters when he's in office, and wants to cut off resources for American troops, into someone who Lieberman respects and could support for president down the road?

Dick Morris Suggests Obama Tax Cut Recipients Are Welfare Queens Who Will Spend The Money On Liquor Or Drugs
Reported by Ellen - October 26, 2008 - 695 comments
Never mind that both Politifact.com and Factcheck.org have both debunked the McCain campaign's "welfare" accusations against Barack Obama's tax cut plan. Dick Morris, himself a major tax delinquent, went on Hannity & Colmes Friday night (10/24/08) and not only reiterated the "welfare" smear, Morris went on to baselessly suggest that tax cut recipients would spend their money on liquor and/or drugs. With video.
During his time with Sean Hannity, Morris said, “Now I can finally say it. You are not cutting taxes for a hundred million people. You are giving welfare checks to the 55 million people of those hundred that don't pay taxes at all.”
Morris' use of the term, “welfare” echoes the John McCain campaign. As Politifact noted in its article called It's Not Welfare, it's not only hypocritical of the McCain campaign to make this charge, given that they are offering a similar type of tax cut,
“We also think it's misleading to call Obama’s plan 'welfare.' Welfare is a loaded word that connotes government aid to those who aren’t working. Obama’s tax credit for wage earners is just that, for wage earners.”
Uncharacteristically, Hannity did not join in the racially charged attacks and stuck to the “socialism” smear. Hannity said, “(Obama's) now doubled down on socialism for America. He's now doubled down on redistributing wealth in America.”
Kirsten Powers was substituting for Alan Colmes that night. Powers has always been a fickle Democratic advocate (though steadfast in cozying up to conservatives). In this instance, she was thoroughly pro-Democrat. Previously, a meek, lackluster host, in this segment, she was a picture of pert perkiness and never stopped mugging for the camera. Either she's had a drastic change of personality or she's gunning for something at FOX News. If I were Colmes, I'd watch my back.
Morris, who has had a long-standing antagonism with Colmes, said to her, “Have I told you what a welcome replacement you are?”
Powers pointed out that McCain has a similar tax credit as Obama's but for health care. “Why is that not welfare?” she asked.
Morris replied, “Well, I think there's some difference between an expenditure that where, if you spend money on health care, we will not tax that money.”
Reality check: McCain's plan is not an instance of money not being taxed but a “direct refundable tax credit” just like Obama's. The McCain campaign website states:
By making the tax code more equitable and transparent, John McCain will give every family a refundable tax credit - cash towards insurance - of $5,000 (Individuals receive $2,500). Every family in America, regardless of the source of their insurance or how much they make will get the same help.
Unfortunately, Powers let that one slide by her.
Morris continued, “And if you don't make enough, not to make the taxes, we'll help you pay for it. That's just like Medicare, just like Medicaid... A negative tax increase, or a tax cut, is just a check. Spend it on liquor, spend it on drugs, do whatever you want with it.”
That one did not get past her. She said, “There's no reason to believe they're spending it on liquor and drugs.”
Morris didn't argue that point. But he did insist that “it's absolute garbage” that Obama will lower taxes for those earning less than $250,000 a year. “When he's president of the United States, he's going to raise taxes on everybody,” Morris said.
“Are you psychic?” Powers asked, crinkling her nose flirtatiously. I'm not a big Powers fan but I have to admit she was effective.

GOP clerk passes around Obama 'black Hitler' claim
GOP county clerk in Indiana apologizes for passing around item calling Obama 'black Hitler'

A Republican county clerk distributed to two employees an Internet blog posting referring to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as a "young, black Adolf Hitler."
Johnson County Clerk Jill Jackson said Friday that she had apologized to the employees. One had complained to police.
The employees, who had voted for Obama in the Democratic primary, discovered the printouts at their desks after returning from Labor Day weekend, sheriff's Deputy Doug Cox said in a police report made public this week. A surveillance video showed Jackson placing an item on one worker's desk, he said.
Jackson told The Associated Press that she was merely passing along an item that already was circulating in the office.
"There was no motive, no intent," she said. "I never intended to offend anyone."
The unsigned item does not mention Obama by name but refers to events in his life that make clear Obama is the target.
"The U.S. citizens are just not ready to give up their country to this young, black 'Adolf Hitler' with a smile, poor direction and absolutely no experience!" it said.
Doug Lechner, Republican Party county chairman, said the incident was unacceptable and taints Jackson's ability to appear unbiased in administering this year's election.
Indiana is a swing state in this presidential election, its 11 electoral votes seen as important to Obama and to his Republican rival, John McCain. Johnson County is heavily Republican.

After Barack's parents split up, he moved with his mother and Indonesian stepfather to Jakarta, aged seven, where he befriended classmate Dasaad - now a commercial photographer - at Basuki Primary School.
When the teacher introduced 'Barry Soetoro' [Obama went by his stepfather's name at the time] to the class, he was very exotic. He was the only non-Indonesian; he was taller than all of us and chubby. He was accompanied by his white mum and his Indonesian stepfather, who was wearing a military outfit, and I remember thinking, that's strange, he looks half black, half white - maybe this is what a boy from Hawaii looks like. He wore Bermuda pants that extended below the knee, whereas our short pants were halfway down our thigh, and he wore T-shirts with stripes whereas ours were plain. He was the only left-handed student in class - it's not considered polite in Indonesia to be left-handed - so it was always amazing to see him writing with his left hand.
Barry was the only one in the class who had bread in his lunch box - the rest of us had traditional Indonesian snacks. There's one called kepan - sticky rice and desiccated coconut which you have to dip in this very strong chilli sauce. It's hot even for us. But Barry was very curious. He tried it and burnt his mouth, and he was saying: 'It's hot, it's hot.' You can see he was always open to learning something new.
He and his mum had been living in Indonesia since 1967. She worked for USAID, helping Indonesian women in the countryside to live in a more Western fashion. For the first two months, Barry was still adjusting. We had a singing class once a week and he wouldn't sing, probably because he was shy and worried that he might sing a word wrong. But after three months, he spoke Indonesian. He became one of us.
I remember one time he had a birthday and I went to his house with some classmates. Barry's house was down a mud track; to play football there, you had to put plastic bags on your feet. Near his house was a small canal - at that time it wasn't polluted - and they had small salamanders in it. Barry had chickens in his home field. It was totally normal for Jakarta in those days.
Me, Barry and Yanto used to play together every lunch break for two years and he was very loyal to our gang. If I said: 'Don't play with that boy, play with us', he'd do it. We'd try to finish our lunch as fast as we could and then we'd go to the fields and play: running, hide and seek, marbles and tak gebok, an Indonesian game of tag where you try to hit your fellow boys with a ball. One time, there was a naughty young boy who missed Barry with the ball so he took a small stone from the playing field and threw it and hit Barry's head, which started bleeding. I remember Barry just went quiet - his mum had taught him not to fight. He was one of those kids you could tell was brought up with a lot of love and affection and so he was never angry or nasty.
We loved playing so much we were always in on the third bell. Most of the girls had a problem with our gang because we were always very active and sweating, and sometimes we'd miss-throw and hit a girl. 'Oh, here they are again,' they'd say. 'Oh, you're sweating from the sun, you stink, go away.' So I had to teach Barry Indonesian swear words to say back to the girls.
At the time, my father and President Sukarno were the only people in the country with Cadillacs, and both were presents from my grandpa, who was the richest man in Indonesia. Grandpa bought me all the DC Comic books, and I was the only one who had them, so Barry and Yanto would borrow the books and copy pictures of Batman and Spider-Man out and ask me to judge which was better. Barry was always better than Yanto. Even Yanto always agreed with that. Barry had a great eye.
We came back from the summer vacation for fifth grade and Barry wasn't there. The teacher said he'd gone back to Hawaii. Our small gang was split up.
Somebody said in 2006: 'Look at Time magazine - your old friend is running for President.' I didn't recognise him. He was much slimmer. Then I saw a picture where he was laughing and I recognised him from the smile and the teeth.
Later on there were allegations that the school was a madrassa, and foreign journalists began hanging around. But the small mosque at the school today was added on in 2001. There was no mosque at the time and it wasn't even a particularly religious school.
It's very sad if a great nation like America wants to persecute Obama just because he was born from a Muslim dad and had a Muslim stepfather. I'm sure one of the reasons for the flexibility he has today is his experiences in Indonesia. At the school, there were half-Chinese and half-Dutch Indonesians, Javanese people, Ambonese, and there were Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Catholics. Barry is used to a mix.

Pennsylvania Republicans are disavowing an e-mail sent to Jewish voters that likens a vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to events that led up to the Holocaust.
"Jewish Americans cannot afford to make the wrong decision on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008," the e-mail reads. "Many of our ancestors ignored the warning signs in the 1930s and 1940s and made a tragic mistake. Let's not make a similar one this year!"
A copy of the e-mail, provided by Democratic officials, says it was "Paid for by the Republican Federal Committee of PA - Victory 2008."
It warns "Fellow Jewish Voters" of the danger of a second Holocaust due to the threats to Israel from its neighbors and touts Republican presidential candidate John McCain's qualifications over those of Obama.
State GOP officials disavowed the e-mail and said the strategist who helped draft it had been fired.
"The Republican Party of Pennsylvania did not authorize that e-mail," Michael Barley, communications director for the state party, told The Associated Press on Saturday evening.
Barley said a "correction" would be sent out to everyone who received it.
The e-mail was sent Thursday morning to 75,000 Jewish voters.
The McCain campaign also repudiated the e-mail. Spokesman Peter Feldman said Saturday night that McCain "rejects politics that degrade our civics."
Political consultant Bryan Rudnick was identified as the person responsible for it. Rudnick, reached Saturday night, confirmed that he no longer works for the party, which employed him a few weeks ago as a consultant to do outreach to Jewish voters.
"I had authorization from party officials" to send the e-mail, Rudnick said, but he declined to say who had signed off on it. "I'm not looking to drag anyone else through the mud, so I'm not naming names right now," he said.
The e-mail also accuses Obama of teaching members of the community group ACORN "to commit voter registration fraud" during his years as a community activist.
Sen. Robert Casey, D-Pa., said the e-mail was part of a "smear campaign" that was among the worst he had seen in his state.

No Apologies from Neil Cavuto for Helping to Spread the "Mutilation" Lie
Reported by Melanie - October 26, 2008 - 107 comments
On Thursday afternoon Neil Cavuto hosted Neal Boortz to discuss bash Barack Obama. (According to Boortz, Obama is now responsible for our increasing unemployment rate.) At the end of the segment, Boortz blurted this out: "And ah, Neil, there's, there's one more thing. It's a little off topic, but have you heard the latest news today? Came on just as you were coming on the air, about a John McCain supporter, ah worker, being attacked and having a B cut into her, the letter B cut into her face?"
Cavuto, ending the interview and heading to a break: "Yeah, yes, we are going to get into that. ... Alright. We're going to follow that news development that Neal was talking about" and then...
Well Neil didn't exactly "get into that," but approximately 45 minutes later, during an interview with Hank Williams, Jr., this interaction took place:
Williams: "You know, and now I guess someone's been attacked, ah, physically attacked in Pittsburgh."
Cavuto: "That's right."
Here's video:
So, on Friday did Cavuto correct the record and inform his viewers that this was an outright lie, promulgated by the McCain campaign no less? Of course not. Cavuto and his "America's Election Headquarters" gang, the "America's Newsroom," "fair and balanced news" liars are more than happy to let this hang in the air as a truism.

I never heard this before. Its from you know who.I thought this was a earlier version of his song G-spot.
I thought it was Power Fantastic.
Late at night, when the world is sleeping
U r frightened, 'cause the Power's creeping
In your room is something u're afraid of
Life or doom is what this feelings made of
Power Fantastic
Is in your life at last
U're a little apprehensive
'Cause what it is is what u want and need
Minor G is the chord of pleasure
It will be played eleven measures
U will see fire, but u're cool as ice
U lie if u say this isn't nice.
Power Fantastic
Is in your life at last
U're a little apprehensive
What it is is what u want and need
Power, Power
Power Fantastic
Is in your life at last
U're a wee bit apprehensive
'Cause what it is is what u want and need
Power, Power, Power Fantastic
Kat, I still love U.

About 20 years ago he let me opened for him. I was a amateur. He actually gave me his phone number and I called him. He financed his own movies BY HIM SELF.Rickles,Pryor,Youngman,Lenny Bruce, all respected him. Along with Malvin van Peeples he started the Blackploitation genre. Andrew Dice Clay stole a lot of his material...WE ALL DID. Take care Mr.Moore.
Moore is from Cleveland Ohio. Moore began his entertainment career as an R&B singer and continued singing through his comedy career. He developed an interest in comedy in the Army after expanding on a singing performance for other servicemen. Rudy Ray Moore released many comedy records throughout the 1960s and 1970s, developing a rude and explicit style similar to Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor. This kept him off of television and major films, but cultivated an enduring fan base. [1]
He appeared on Big Daddy Kane's 1990 album Taste of Chocolate and 2 Live Crew's 1994 album Back at Your Ass for the Nine-4.
In 2000, Moore starred in Big Money Hustlas, a movie created by and starring the Insane Clown Posse, in which he played Dolemite for the first time in over 20 years.
In 2008, Moore reprised the character Petey Wheatstraw for the song "I Live For The Funk" featuring Blowfly and Daniel Jordan. This marked the first time Blowfly and Rudy have collaborated on the same record together and the 30 year anniversary of the movie Petey Wheatstraw, and was also the final recording Rudy made before his death. [2]
On October 19, 2008, Moore died of complications from diabetes.

And his name's Barack Obama
Yes we can - save our country
Yes we can - take back our lives
Yes we can - change history
Yes we can - live in hope
To leave ignorance behind
To stop the fairy tales
To bring life to the great nation
That we all want for our children

Al-Qaida-linked Web site backs John McCain as president

Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the United States as a way to usher in a John McCain presidency.
The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if Al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said. "Then, Al-Qaida will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

SITE Intelligence Group, based in Bethesda, Md., monitors the Web site and translated the message.
"If al-Qaida carries out a big operation against American interests," the message said, "this act will be support of McCain because it will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaida. Al-Qaida then will succeed in exhausting America till its last year in it."
Mark Salter, a senior McCain adviser, said he had heard about the Web site chatter but had no immediate comment.
The message is credited to a frequent and apparently respected contributor named Muhammad Haafid. However, Haafid is not believed to have a direct affiliation with al-Qaida plans or knowledge of its operations, according to SITE.
SITE senior analyst Adam Raisman said this message caught SITE's attention because there has been little other chatter on the forums about the U.S. election.
SITE was struck by the message's detailed analysis - and apparent jubilation - about American financial woes.
"What we try to do is get the pulse of the jihadist community," Raisman said. "And it's about the financial crisis."
Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden issued a videotape just four days before the 2004 U.S. presidential election directly addressing the American people.

Bobbie Caldwell: Do for love
Number one I thought Donnie Hathaway did this. Number two,I didn't know he was white. What's next the Average White Band is all black guys? Soon you'll tell me the President of the United States is black. Here's the lyrics:
I guess you wonder where I've been
I searched to find a love within
I came back to let you know
Got a thing for you and I can't let go
My friends wonder what is wrong with me
Well I'm in a daze from your love, you see
I came back to let you know
Got a thing for you and I can't let go
Some people go around the world for love
But they may never find what they dream of
What you won't do, do for love
You've tried everything but you don't give up
In my world only you makes me do
For love what I would not do
But then I only want the best it's true
They can't believe the things I do for you
What you won't do, do for love
You've tried everything but you don't give up
In my world, only you makes me do
For love what I would not do
Makes me do for love what I would not do

Speaking Of Radical Associations...
Reported by Ellen - October 22, 2008 - 8 comments
With Barack Obama's upcoming visit to his ailing grandmother in the news (though I have yet to see it covered on FOX News beyond a brief mention in the headlines), a reader sent me this vile 2007 article accusing Obama of hiding his grandmother in order to pretend he has no white relatives. Why? Because he's racist, according to the author. And who wrote that article? One of Sean Hannity's own radical associations, Andy Martin, the same guy recently given a friendly platform on Hannity's America.
The article originally appeared in Newsmax and is entitled “Free Obama's White Grandmother.” Apparently, it has been removed from Newsmax but it is available in its entirety here. An excerpt:
America's media have supinely allowed Barry Obama to pretend he has no white relatives. He has paraded his step-grandmother in Kenya, who never saw him until the 1980s, as his "granny," and locked the grandmother who actually raised him away in a closet.
Now, the Chicago Tribune reports "the Obama campaign declined to make [his white grandmother] available."
Is she sick? Not apparently. Bedridden? Hospitalized? Not apparently. She is the "Prisoner of Obama," and of Obama's racist myth that he is "Black" and not "Black and White."
What a disgrace.
The real disgrace is that Hannity offered Martin as a credible expert on Obama and FOX News allowed it.

McCain Accidentally Agrees: Western Pennsylvania Is Racist
McCain Accidentally Agrees: Western Pennsylvania Is Racist
Guess what they took the video down.
October 21, 2008 07:27 PM
From HuffPo:
Sen. John McCain offered, on Tuesday, what may go down as one of the more awkward moments of this campaign cycle, in which -- speaking in Western Pennsylvania -- he declared he 'couldn't agree more' with the sentiment that some of the people from that region were openly racist.
"You know, I think you may have noticed that Senator Obama's supporters have been saying some pretty nasty things about Western Pennsylvania lately," McCain told the audience in the town of Moon Township. "And you know, I couldn't agree with them more."
Oops. It was, in many ways, a reflection of how tired these candidates have become as this nearly two-year-long campaign hits its final strides. And, to be fair, the crowd eventually got the point; booing at the reference to John Murtha, who said last week that some of his Western Pennsylvania constituents were racist. But there was a stunned silence after the gaffe.
For political humorists it is gold, made even more potent by McCain's botched attempt at a recovery. "I couldn't disagree with you," he declared (referencing what, no one knows). "I couldn't agree with you more than the fact that Western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, most god-loving, most, most patriotic part of America, and this is a great part of the country."
The line was reminiscent of Sarah Palin touting the pro-America parts of the country. And actually could be just as politically dicey than the inadvertent labeling of Western Pennsylvanians as racists.
Either way, the video is worth a watch... or three.
Guess what they took the video down.

When U were mine, Cyndi Lauper's version(not Prince)
When u were mine
I gave u all of my money
Time after time
U done me wrong
Cause, just like a train
U let all my friends come over and eat
And u were so strange
U didn't have the decency
to change the sheets
Oh girl, when u were mine
I use to let u wear all my clothes
U were so fine
Maybe that's the reason that it hurt me so
I know, that you're goin with another guy
But I don't care, cause I love
u baby that's no lie
Love u more mine than I did when u were mine
When u were mine
[ Find more Lyrics at www.mp3lyrics.org/GsO ]
U were kindasorta my best friend
So I was blind
I let u fool around
I never cared
I never was the kind to make a fuss
When he was there
Sleepin in between the two of us
I know, that you`re goin with another guy
But I don't care, cause I love
u baby that's no lie
Love u more than I did when u were mine
When u were mine
U were all I ever wanted to do
Now I spend my time
Following him whenever he's with u
I know that you're goin with another guy
But I don't care, cause I love
u baby that's no lie
I love u more than I did when u were mine
I love u more than I did when u were mine
I love u more than I did when u were mine
I love u more than I did when u were mine
love u more , love u more , love u more ,love u more

Keith Olbermann Talks About Hannity's Relationship With White Supremacist
Reported by Ellen - October 22, 2008 - 20 comments
On last night's Countdown, Sean Hannity was "worser" person in the world for repeatedly saying he was not going to bring up Barack Obama's past drug use (and slyly doing it, of course) on the previous night's Hannity & Colmes. So Keith Olbermann said he would not bring up Hannity's association with "Hal from North Bergen." Unfortunately, Olbermann downplayed Hal as someone who has threatened to assassinate the president, rather than as a white supremacist on the Southern Poverty Law Center's top 40 hate watch list. You can get a glimpse of the Neo-Nazi/white supremacist that unrepentant bigot Hannity spent a lot of time with here. Countdown video after the jump.

Women & Palin
Please pass this on- Women & Palin
I got this email today. please pass this on to as many bloggers as you know, thanks
FYI: The National Organization for Women has endorsed the Obamba-Biden
ticket for just the reasons listed below. They usually do not endorse,
but in this case believed it was absolutely necessary to take a stand.
If you agree, please pass this on.
Subject: Women and Sarah Palin
Friends:
We are writing to you because of the fury and dread we have felt since
the announcement of Sarah Palin as the Vice-Presidential candidate for
the Republican Party. We believe that this terrible (?) decision has
surpassed mere partisanship, and that it is a dangerous farce on the
part of a pandering and rudderless Presidential candidate that has a
real possibility of becoming fact.
Perhaps like us, as American women, you share the fear of what Ms.
Palin and her professed beliefs and proven record could lead to for
ourselves and for our present or future daughters. To date, she is
against sex education, birth control, the pro-choice platform,
environmental protection, alternative energy development, freedom of
speech, gun control, the separation of church and state, and polar
bears -- to say nothing of her complete lack of real preparation to
become the second-(and possibly first)-most-powerful person on the
planet.
We want to clarify that we are not against Sarah Palin as a woman, a
mother, or, for that matter, a parent of a pregnant teenager, but
solely as a rash, incompetent, and altogether devastating choice for
Vice President. Ms. Palin's political views are in every way a slap in
the face to the accomplishments that our mothers and grandmothers and
great-grandmothers so fiercely fought for, and from which we've so
demonstrably benefited.
First and foremost, Ms. Palin does not represent us. She does not
demonstrate or uphold our interests as American women. It is presumed
that the inclusion of a woman on the Republican ticket could win over
women voters.
We want to disagree, publicly. If you agree that Palin is an
irresponsible, even dangerous, choice for VP, please consider
participating in this drive. Gentlemen, send this to the women you
know and care for. I know it's tough to understand the way this choice
is impacting women, but I have never seen so many women so outraged,
angry and distraught in my entire life. We'd like our voices heard.
If you agree, PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY! If you send this to 20 women in
the next hour, you could be blessed with a country that takes your
concerns? Seriously. Stranger things have happened.

West Virginia voting machines flipping Obama votes to McCain
West Virginia voting machines flipping Obama votes to McCain
Reported by Chrish - October 19, 2008 - 25 comments
Now will we hear about this and other incidents for days or weeks on end on FOX and Friends? My guess is no way, because as the article says, "In both counties, Republicans are responsible for overseeing elections. Both county clerks said the problem is isolated." The FOX double standard applies.
The West Virginia Gazette reports
"Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week.
This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. Last week, three voters in Jackson County told The Charleston Gazette their electronic vote for "Barack Obama" kept flipping to "John McCain".
As noted above, the elections clerks dismissed the problems, and
"also blamed voters for not being more careful.
"People make mistakes more than machines," said Jackson County Clerk Jeff Waybright.
Shelba Ketchum, a 69-year-old nurse retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital, described what happened Friday at the Putnam County Courthouse in Winfield.
"I pushed buttons and they all came up Republican," she said. "I hit Obama and it switched to McCain. I am really concerned about that. If McCain wins, there was something wrong with the machines.
"I asked them for a printout of my votes," Ketchum said. "But they said it was in the machine and I could not get it. I did not feel right when I left the courthouse. My son felt the same way."
You can read the rest here.
FOX will likely continue pushing the storyline that Democrats and Obama supporters are commiting fraud with multiple registrations, and will also likely continue to ignore actual cases of votes being stolen from Democrats by corrupted, unverifiable electronic machines. IOKIYAR.

Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama
We asked villagers about possible Colin Powell endorsement back in April. It turns out that Powell waited until today to make that endorsement. His endorsement of Barack Obama should go a long way to attracting moderates and wayward Republicans to the Democratic presidential candidate. [Video]
Over the years, Powell himself has been touted as a potential presidential or vice presidential candidate. The former national security adviser served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the 1991 Persian Gulf War. He was secretary of state for the younger President Bush.
His tenure is most notable for presenting to the U.N. Security Council evidence that Iraq was pursuing weapons of mass destruction. His presentation led to a resolution endorsing military action against that country. He later described his role as a "blot" on his record.
It seems difficult to say that Obama doesn't have the experience to serve as our POTUS when people like Warren Buffet and Gen. Powell are endorsing him for the office.

Hey y’all, Mary Ann Bray hear just wanting to tell you what I think of Colin Powell’s endorsement.
First of all, is anyone surprised? I mean, if we’ve learned one thing over the years it’s that niggers stick together with other niggers.
Powell is a darkie first and a patriot second. I always knew this about him because I saw the video of him dancing the shimmy on stage with a group of rappers the other day. Even at 70, Ole’ Colin was moving like a cotton picker in the summer sun in Mississippi.
I knew he would endorse Jug Ears over McCain. I wasn’t surprised one bit.

OMG, it is a struggle to get to blogger. I think it's my ancient computer--oh, to have a working laptop and Internet connectivity at the same time!
There's a great article on racial inequities in the legal system front page of the Plain Dealer. I'm looking for the accompanying picture because it's so striking, but all I can find on line in the paper's endorsement of Obama. If I were a better playwright, I'd know dramatic irony when I see it.
Oh, wait, here it is. We're on the precipice of possibly electing a Black man for president, and, yet, our legal system is fugged up.
Dontez here, is 20. Stopped for unlighted license plate. Pled guilty after police found one rock of crack. Prior record: vandalism as a juvenile. Not granted intervention. Is now a FELON.
Anthony is 22. Stopped for jaywalking. Pled guilty after police found one rock of crack cocaine. Prior record: none. Not granted intervention. Is now a FELON.
Brian is 38. Stopped after car chase. Police found four rocks of crack, three crack pipes, and 10 crack pipe filters under the driver's seat. Prior record: Robbery charge reduced to misdemeanor assault; a year earlier, Biddulph had been charged with robbery--a felony--for stealing three small bottles of Merlot and some cold medicine, then trying to run down a security guard and nearly striking a store detective with his car as he escaped down Detroit Avenue, laughing and giving store officials "the finger" as he pulled away. Granted intervention. Is NOT a FELON.
Danielle is 20. Arrested after traffic stop. Pled guilty after police found marijuana and two bags of crack. Prior record: In 2003, Brewster was arrested along with her mother and her mother's boyfriend for beating and robbing a 12-year-old girl. The boyfriend held the 12-year-old up against a fence, according to court records, while Brewster, then 17, repeatedly punched her in the face and then stole a gold necklace from around her neck. The victim suffered a broken nose, swollen black eye and bruises on her back. The mother and boyfriend both pleaded guilty to felonies. Brewster admitted to reduced charges of theft and aggravated assault in Juvenile Court. Granted intervention. Is NOT a FELON.
Damn. I fear Black people will say "Tell us something we don't know, Kellybelle," and white people will glance at the pictures on the front page, assume Dontez and Anthony attacked Brian and Danielle, then turn to the sports section to see how Ohio State did.
For me, one big takeaway from this is how important it is that we in the African American community educate ourselves about mental illness. Psychologically-whole people don't need mind-altering substances. Something's wrong if you've got to get high to get by--depression, PTSD from abuse, bi-polar disorder, something. But that fact is more likely to be recognized in the case of white defendants than Black defendants--hence, the granting of interventions. It's as if white drug abusers are seen as basically good people in bad circumstances, while Black drug abusers are seen as just criminals.
Once we educate ourselves about mental illness, we can then advocate for a justice system that recognizes our humanity. We can motivate our community to vote for judges who support rehabilitation and intervention for first time offenders and mental health courts for those who qualify.

OMG, it is a struggle to get to blogger. I think it's my ancient computer--oh, to have a working laptop and Internet connectivity at the same time!

Beastie Boys
Brass Monkey Lyrics
Artist: Beastie Boys (Buy Beastie Boys CDs)
Album: Licensed To Ill
(chorus) Brass Monkey - that funky Monkey
Brass Monkey - junkie
That funky Monkey
Got this dance that's more than real
Drink Brass Monkey - here's how you feel
Put your left leg down - your right leg up
Tilt your head back - let's finish the cup
M.C.A. with the bottle - D. rocks the can
Adrock gets nice with Charlie Chan
We're offered Moet - we don't mind Chivas
Wherever we go with bring the Monkey with us
Adrock drinks three - Mike D. is D.
Double R. foots the bill most definitely
I drink Brass Monkey and I rock well
I got a Castle in Brooklyn - that's where I dwell
(repeat chorus)
Cause I drink it anytime - and anyplace
When it's time to get ill - I pour it on my face
Monkey tastes Def when you pour it on ice
Come on y'all it's time to get nice
Coolin' by the lockers getting kind of funky
Me and the crew - we're drinking Brass Monkey
This girl walked by - she gave me the eye
I reached in the locker - grabbed the Spanish Fly
I put it with the Monkey - mixed it in the cup
Went over to the girl, "Yo baby, what's up?"
I offered her a sip - the girl she gave me lip
It did begin the stuff wore in and now she's on my tip
(repeat chorus)
Step up to the bar - put the girl down
She takes a big gulp and slaps it around
Take a sip - you can do it - you get right to it
We had a case in the place and we went right through it
You got a dry Martini - thinking you're cool
I'll take your place at the bar - I smack you off your stool
I'll down a '40 dog" in a single gulp
And if you got beef you'll get beat to a pulp
Monkey and parties and reelin' and rockin'
Def, def - girls, girls - all y'all jockin'
The song and dance keeping you in a trance
If you don't buy my record I got my advance
I drink it - I think it - I see it - I be it
I love Brass Monkey but I won't give D. it
We got the bottle - you got the cup
Come on everybody let's get ffffff
(repeat chorus)

Crazy as a bedbug
Folks in Minnesota are nice, but she ain't.Dammit Prince came from here. This is the place where they let fine women jump in the wrong lake buck naked.I cried when I saw her on TV , but Chris Matthews acted like a real American and exposed her.
: United States House of Representatives elections in Minnesota, 2008#District 6
In 2008, Bachmann is seeking re-election to a second term. Her DFL opponent is Elwyn Tinklenberg, a former state transportation commissioner. In one hour after her appearance on "Twitty's show Tinklenberg got $30.000.00 in donations. Hint, hint.
On the evening of October 17, 2008, Tinklenberg's opponent, Bachmann, appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews. Her statements about liberalism and anti-American views were quickly spread around liberal blogs such as The Daily Kos, Democratic Underground and The Huffington Post. Outrage at Bachmann's comments led to donations to Tinklenberg's campaign of nearly $440,000 in less than 24 hours [10] (his total fundraising before the Bachmann appearance was approximately $1 million)[11]. In response, Tinklenberg wrote, "The last few hours have been nothing short of astounding. Since Congresswoman Michele Bachmann appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball earlier tonight, there’s been a deluge of support unlike anything we have seen."[12]

All Bets Off: Obama Declared the Winner
Posted: 16 Oct 2008 12:33 PM CDT
Did you know that they are taking bets over in Europe on who would win the US presidential elections? Obama was a massive 50-1 underdog with Ireland's largest bookmaker, Paddy Power, to be next President back in May of 2005.
The bookie, Paddy Power, watched the final presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain and decided to pay out on Obama becoming the next US President.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "We declare this race well and truly over and congratulate all those who backed Obama, your winnings await you."
This unprecedented move comes almost three weeks ahead of Election Day and sees the bookie paying out in excess of £780,000 to Obama backers. Prior to Paddy Power paying out, Obama was practically unbackable at odds of 1-9 to be the next American President.
Paddy Power continues to offer betting right up to and including Election Day. One of its most popular bets is predicting the winning margin of the successful nominee on November 4th.
Anyone care to make a non-binding guess on what the victory margin in the election between Obama and McCain?

O-H-I-O
This is from the Ohio Daily Blog:
The Wingnuts Are Absolutely Losing It!
Submitted by Paul on Wed, 10/15/2008 - 8:59pm.
And when Michelle Malkin is your voice of reason, you know you've gone around the bend.
It seems that on Monday a minor firestorm flew around the lessor right wing radio shows (and apparently viral emails) about an "Obama flag". It seems that Obama on Monday spoke and behind him was American flags, plus other flags that had the Obama "O" symbol on it. They were calling it the "Obama Flag".
Here is one comment on Townhall.com:

American Flag
At an Ohio campaign stop last week Obama gave a speech with a background of American flags which is quite common. However, if you look closely some of the flags are not American flags. The blue field has been changed to show an Obama seal. Yes, there are also stars but have no pattern and they do not add up to 50.
With Obama making his own seal and now this it looks like maybe he is putting some credence to the recent article by Stanley Kurtz in the National Review. Is he planning on creating an African county within the US.
I think the presence of these flags should be viewed with alarm. And I don't want to hear any looney left comments that they are only decoration. They ARE a modification of the American Flag.
And then there is this on Free Republic:
I was just watching the Greta Van Sustren interview with Steve Forbes. They watched a video of B. Hussein and at 10:08 he was shown at a podium infront of four flags, two were clearly American flags, but what the hell were the other two? I shocked to think that it looks like he has come up with HIS OWN VERSION of the American flag!!!! Take a look at them, they have that same look as his Presidential seal, or his calipso louie logo, they look like some third world verion/ cuban flovored version of the Stars and Stripes. Maybe someone can go back and find it to post. I don't have the computer skills. UNBELIEVABLE is all I can say.
And this as well:
Did anyone catch the flags in the press conference Obama held today?
You know when the president has a press conference with another nation and they alternate the flags: U.S., other country, U.S., other country, etc., all in a row behind the leaders of the countries speaking at the podium?
I watched the news just now and the flags Obama had behind his podium were strange. There were some American flags, but alternated with them was another kind of flag. It looked like an American flag but it had a big circle in the field of blue, and it looked suspiciously like his symbol (which I always thought looked like the Pepsi symbol). You know, the one he formerly had on his seal?
Did anyone else catch it?
Wow.
Cue Michelle Malkin in the uncommon role of common sense:
I received several e-mails today from readers complaining about Barack Obama’s backdrop in Toledo today. Apparently, some talk show hosts have also gone ballistic over what they think is an “Obama flag:”
Relax, folks. That’s not an “Obama flag.” It’s the state flag of Ohio
These people aren't going to make it until Nov 4th. Their heads will absolutely explode!

10 things you should know about John McCain
H/T Oliver Willis
1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has “evolved,” yet he’s continued to oppose key civil rights laws.
2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain “will make Cheney look like Gandhi.”
3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.
4. McCain opposes a woman’s right to choose. He said, “I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned.”
5. The Children’s Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children’s health care bill last year, then defended Bush’s veto of the bill.
6. He’s one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a “second job” and skip their vacations.
7. Many of McCain’s fellow Republican senators say he’s too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: “The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He’s erratic. He’s hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.”
8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.
9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his “spiritual guide,” Rod Parsley, believes America’s founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a “false religion.” McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church “the Antichrist” and a “false cult.”
10. If John McCain were to win the presidency, he would be the oldest man elected to a first term.

The Private Sector Caused The Mortgage Crisis (Not Minorities, ACORN Or Other Conservative Lies)
H/T to Oliver Willis
As the economy worsens and Election Day approaches, a conservative campaign that blames the global financial crisis on a government push to make housing more affordable to lower-class Americans has taken off on talk radio and e-mail.
Commentators say that’s what triggered the stock market meltdown and the freeze on credit. They’ve specifically targeted the mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which the federal government seized on Sept. 6, contending that lending to poor and minority Americans caused Fannie’s and Freddie’s financial problems.
Federal housing data reveal that the charges aren’t true, and that the private sector, not the government or government-backed companies, was behind the soaring subprime lending at the core of the crisis.
Subprime lending offered high-cost loans to the weakest borrowers during the housing boom that lasted from 2001 to 2007. Subprime lending was at its height vrom 2004 to 2006.
Federal Reserve Board data show that:
_ More than 84 percent of the subprime mortgages in 2006 were issued by private lending institutions.
_ Private firms made nearly 83 percent of the subprime loans to low- and moderate-income borrowers that year.
_ Only one of the top 25 subprime lenders in 2006 was directly subject to the housing law that’s being lambasted by conservative critics
I don’t expect this to stop the explicitly pro-racist arguments being pushed right now by McCain, the RNC, and conservatives. But this is the reality.

Voter Fraud
Republican Guest On FOX Tacitly Admits Voter Fraud Issue A Set-Up To Challenge An Obama Win
Reported by Ellen - October 12, 2008 - 139 comments
We have long suspected here on News Hounds that FOX News’ obsession with voter fraud is nothing more than a set-up to challenge the validity of a Barack Obama win should it happen. We saw the same set-up during the 2004 election, only to have those concerns disappear the moment George Bush won the election. But now that John McCain is slipping in the polls, the issue has suddenly resurfaced on FOX. Last Thursday (10/9/08), John Fund, the author of “Stealing Elections” and the chief “voter-fraud” monger, appeared on Hannity & Colmes and essentially confirmed that our suspicions are correct. With video.
During the first part of the segment, Sean Hannity outright accused Barack Obama of trying to steal the election via the community group ACORN who has been found to have made some false voter registrations. “Why does Barack have this history of associating with every radical and then lying and dissembling about it?” Hannity asked.
It's an outrageous and despicable lie on the face of it but especially so coming from Sean Hannity who associates with a host of modern day bigots including a Neo-Nazi on the Southern Poverty Hate Watch list. Hannity slyly continued his slanderous assault on Obama by pretending he was just relaying information he had gathered. Hannity said, “John Fund, I’m talking to a lot of people on the ground in states like Ohio and this is what they’re telling me, and especially with a Democratic Secretary of State. That there is an effort afoot right now in this campaign to see to it that people that are not qualified because they are registered and can vote in the same day, that they are voting where they could not meet the qualifications... Are you concerned that there's an effort by the Obama campaign, through groups like ACORN that they’re funding, to steal this election?”
Hannity never revealed who those “people on the ground” were. For all we know, they were McCain media spokespeople and/or Karl Rove. As we have come to expect, there was no Obama campaign spokesman, no ACORN spokesman, no Ohio state spokesman to counter Hannity’s spin, just FOX News Democrat Bob Beckel who seemed not to have figured out where Hannity and FOX News are trying to go with this issue.
Fund answered, “Look, I think ACORN is operating independently of the Obama campaign but the ties are very clear.”
When it was Alan Colmes’ turn, he pointed out that fraudulent registrations are not the same as voter fraud, that fraudulent registrations have not been found to lead to voter fraud and told Fund that it has “nothing whatsoever to do with Barack Obama, much as you would probably like to tie him to this for the purpose of this campaign.”
Colmes also said, “It sounds to me (unintelligible), John, in swing states where McCain’s not doing so well you’re concerned, you’re already setting it up to claim that it’s fraud, he didn’t win because of fraud. You’re concerned he’s going to lose and you’re setting up a dynamic here to make that, trying to make that case prior to the election when he loses the election.”
Fund did not deny that. In fact, he tacitly admitted it with a “Democrats did it, too” response. Fund told Colmes, “Well, excuse me. The Democrats yelled fraud after 2000. The Democrats yelled fraud after 2004. I say there’s fraud in both parties. I don’t think any party has a monopoly on virtue. But I will tell you Obama has never criticized ACORN once.”
This strikes me as a good time to write to FOX News execs and ask them again why, since they are so concerned about Obama’s associations, they STILL have not explained Sean Hannity’s association with a Neo-Nazi.

Just to let you know, in 2004 a NAACP member(who just joined the NAACP) had a drug abuser register cartoon characters to vote in Youngstown.Youngstown is in Trumbull County. So J.Kenneth Blackwell sent Challengers to Cuyahoga(Cleveland)and Stark(Akron)
Counties. Why? Because that where all the large amounts of black voters are.The Democratic Party sent observers to check out the challengers.People in Cleveland waited 3 hours to vote. They told us the voting machines were broke. The voting machines were suitcases with a lightbulb and a hole puncher on it.Why wasn't Blackwell arrested? He had a law put into place that said he couldn't be charge for it.He's now the authority on FOX on Cuyahoga County, a place where he and Rod Parsley (McCain's Minister) brought two buses of Crackheads (that's what the media called them)to Cleveland to make it look like he had a crowd of supporters.Cleveland people really, REALLY HATE BLACKWELL

Sexual Cleansing
10 years ago today, domestic terrorists tortured and killed Matthew Shepard because he was Gay.I got That from KellyBelle. It was Oct12th to be exact.
This Article is from libhom.Remember the same people that hates minorities and women hates gays too.
Sexual Cleansing is using extreme measures to suppress gays and lesbians. Hitler did it. During World War II he rounded up gays and put a pink triangle on them and sent them to concentration camps.
Sexual Cleansing is occurring today in Iraq and other countries. In Iraq there are death squads that shoot, hang, and torture people they suspect of being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered. Some Islamic clerics sanction these death squads. The fatwa, available on Sistani’s official Web site, puts it this way, “The people involved [in homosexuality] should be killed in the worst, most severe way of killing.”
In Nepal the police have beaten people who are transgendered. It is because they have deemed being transgendered immoral. The transgendered are called metis in Nepal. The police arrest them, beat them, make them strip off all their cloths and mock them while holding their genitals.
In South Africa a lesbian football (soccer) player was gang raped and murdered. In another incident a mob of men chased down and murdered a lesbian.
The example of the largest magnitude in my lifetime of sexual cleansing is how the Christian Right, Reagan, the Bushes, and Bill Clinton have used their AIDS policies to maximize the number of deaths of gay and bisexual men to their politically acceptable limits.
She also keeps us from letting our country off the hook.
It goes on all over the world. Lets not be so naïve that it doesn’t happen here in the United States in some form. Brandon Tina, Matthew Shepard, Paul Broussard, Lawrence King, Julianne M. Williams and Laura S. “Louie” Winans are some of the names of people who have been murdered in the Untied States for being gay, transgendred, or lesbian.
Some other countries should could have mentioned are Iran, Russia, India, and Saudi Arabia where sexual cleansing is all too common.

Racist Obama Billboard Causes Outrage
I got this from Progress Ohio:
Racist Obama Billboard Causes Outrage
By Dave Harding, ProgressOhio - Oct 13th, 2008 at 7:38 pm EDT
Outrage over the sign triggered West Plains resident Becky Estes to write a letter in Monday's edition of the Daily Quill newspaper saying "such a tasteless display merely reinforces the wide-spread belief that Ozarkers are ignorant country bumpkins."
"People don't like it. They're embarrassed by that sign, ashamed by that sign, horrified by that sign and outraged by that sign," Estes told the News-Leader on Thursday.
Estes' letter sparked responses from locals and out-of-state former residents in Wednesday's newspaper. The person who created the sign remains anonymous.
"I can find nothing wrong with this sign/cartoon, which is truthful by Obama's own statements," wrote James E. (Jay) Gentry Jr. of Mountain Grove. "If this is upsetting to Ms. Estes, then she should do some hard thinking about what is forthcoming if he is elected."
Raymond Fine, 74, of West Plains, said the sign is a form of free speech.
"If they can burn a flag, then they can put a sign up like that," Fine told the News-Leader.
Lesa Hall, a Democratic voter from West Plains, said it's not the message she takes issue with -- it's the use of Obama's middle name and the hand-drawn picture of him wearing a white turban.
"My offense was the stereotype and the racism that I felt that the billboard presented," said Hall, a teacher at the Junction Hill Middle School.

Obama Suckophants Make Me Sick
October 13, 2008 at 3:59 pm (Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, John McCain) (PUMA, Just Say No Deal, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, John Lewis, suckophants)
Just when I thought the Obama cheerleading was as bad as it could possibly get, it suddenly got stupid. John Lewis playing with George Wallace fire was bad enough, Bill and Hillary Clinton enthusiastically stumping for the guy they lost friends over for saying “he can not win” is painfully disappointing, and Joe Biden’s “back off McCain” threats are infuriating, but Sherrod Brown’s “make O’Reilly cry” rah-rah is just too much.
Now, I’m no big Bill O’Reilly fan; the “loofah incident” is too deeply and permanently etched in my memory banks for that to ever happen, but trying to encourage people to vote for Obama just because it would piss O’Reilly off is just…juvenile. “What’s next, na nanna boo boo?” Anyway, here’s Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, in his own words:
“About quarter till 12 on election night, it’s gonna be Bill O’Reilly sitting there with Sean Hannity,” he said, drawing another cascade of jeers from the crowd at the mention of another popular conservative Fox host.
“No, no wait a sec, this is gonna be too much fun. You’re not gonna be booing ‘cause you know what’s coming next. So Hannity – they’re going through all these numbers and Barack’s won California, New York and Illinois and Michigan and Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and all these others. And, you know McCain wins Utah or something,” Brown said, drawing appreciative laughs and claps from the energized crowd.
“Then Hannity’s sitting there next to O’Reilly, and they’re looking at each other, and O’Reilly says, ‘You gonna do it?’ And Hannity says, ‘No.’ So O’Reilly – sweat’s coming, tears are coming down his cheeks – you can see ‘em on your flat screen. And O’Reilly says, ‘Well, Ohio went for Barack Obama. He’s gonna be president of the United States!”
Please PUMAs, let’s not tell Sherrod that if that happens, Hannity and O’Reilly won’t be the only ones crying. Let’s save the truth for election day; see who’s crying then.
Sheesh!

If you want to be a comedian do the opposite of what Greg Gutfeld does.
Like all of you, I'm looking forward to Tuesday night's debate. I've made some ambrosia salad and I'm going to wear my special debate onesie — yes, it's latex.
But you know what bugged me about the last presidential debate? When Jim Lehrer asked if there would be another 9/11. After both candidates agreed that we're safer now than before — a pat on Bush's back — Obama returns to the post-modern theme of root causes.
Obama brings up how "we" are viewed in the world and how that leads to terror. "We are less respected now," he says, which, in my feeble mind, betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of the world.
Terrorists will not stop killing innocent people because they "like" or respect you. They want to kill you, because you are not them. If anything, they leave you alone if you kill them. In a sense, they're like roaches, without the charm.
But all this revealed Obama's big flaw: He thinks identifying real evil is unseemly and fears his old professors would sneer if they heard that kind of objective truth — or wet their pants.
It's weird that Obama cares more about how our enemies perceive us, than what these enemies are planning. Our greatest leaders always cared little about who liked them — I'm referring to Sonny Bono.

As Joe Biden pointed out today in his rousing speech in Philly (Hillary & Bill Clinton also gave speeches before his), if Barack Obama wins Pennsylvania, he’ll win the election. Woohoo! Way to go Phillies!

As you know I have a malware problem. I can't post certain photos.Go to Kay's site and see the photo. My mother said if Sarah Palin had her baby that way SHE SHOULD BE PRESIDENT.just to let you know ,she didn't.
Why does Levi Johnston’s sister refer to Sarah Palin as the mother-in-law in this picture?
Posted by kayinmaine on October 11, 2008
There are some out there like me who do not believe it was Sarah Palin who gave birth to Trig Palin on April 18th in Wasilla, Alaska. In fact, if you CLICK HERE, you will note the hospital that she supposedly gave birth to Trig in, his birth is not listed. Oh yes, a family can ask to not have the birth publicized, but why would an acting governor of Alaska want to keep the birth of her 5th child a secret? I mean, really, what kind of information would be included in the little write up and picture that the people of Alaska already didn’t know? It doesn’t list the Social Security number of anyone in her family including baby Trig, so why would the Palin’s not want anyone to see this hospital birth announcement? Hmmmmm….
Oh wait. The whole entire pregnancy was a cover up, because it was Bristol Palin (16 at the time) who was pregnant with Trig starting in July/August 2007 and who gave birth ‘early’ in April, and who got PREGNANT AGAIN RIGHT AFTER GIVING BIRTH TO TRIG at the age of 17! Yep, that’s it! Bristol Palin is on her 2nd pregnancy in a year.
See? I can’t let this die. It shows more abuse of power, how lying is the norm for her, and how Sarah Palin when backed into a corner and to protect her family to the death, will fake a pregnancy (you can buy fake pregnant bellies online, ya know…makes for a good Halloween costume! See how real they look?) just to make sure the image of her family stays intact! Telling the truth is better than lying & covering up, right Sarah? I mean, really, this is what you’re teaching your children isn’t it? Spit.
And another thing that is very interesting in all of this…
When you look at the following picture, does Sarah Palin look to you as if she has just given birth to Trig? I don’t know any pregnant woman (unless they’re a crack whore who was extremely unhealthy throughout the whole pregnancy) who after giving birth doesn’t have some kind of roundness to their bodies whether it’s in their face, hips, fingers, or ankles! And why did Levi Johnston’s sister (pictured below along with Sarah and Trig) label this photo on her MySpace page as, “Mother-in-law, Trig, and myself”? Huh? I’ll tell ya why! Her brother Levi is the father of Bristol’s current child (so we’re told), so it would make sense that Levi’s sister would be calling Sarah her brother’s ‘mother-in-law’ after Trig was born, because the sister knew her brother was the father of Trig when this photo was taken!
I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE QUESTIONING THIS.
The fact Sarah Palin looks like she is NOT the one who gave birth to Trig in this picture explains why Sarah Palin was able to finish her speech in Texas (she told those there-after A PHONE CALL-her water had broke), was able to stay there for some time, and then was able to board a commercial plane back to Alaska (anywhere from an 8 hour to 12 hour flight) without anyone on the plane suspecting she was pregnant (the commercial airliner would NOT have allowed a very pregnant/in-labor woman on the plane. No way!).
Sarah got a PHONE CALL right before or earlier before going out on the stage in Texas to give her speech. Was this phone call coming from Alaska letting her know that her daughter Bristol’s water broke and she needs to come home now? Seems likely to me! How else can you explain Sarah’s behavior then? Are we to assume she wasn’t looking forward to giving birth to a Downs Syndrome baby and was taking her sweet ole time in the hopes ’something’ might happen to him? Horrible though, but I think it’s time the Palins come clean on this!
Since Alaskan officials have found she did abuse her powers as Governor, I think we need to go back to the Trig pregnancy now. Sorry, but it’s a story that is not sitting right with many Americans! Honestly, we don’t care if Bristol Palin got pregnant at 16 and is now on her 2nd pregnancy at the age of 17, but we do care about is the VP nominee telling us the freaking truth for crying out loud! It’s a truth issue!
We have a right to know and as Andrew Sullivan pointed out, IF SARAH PALIN CAN DEMAND THE MARRIAGE LICENSE OF SOMEONE, WE SURE AS HELL CAN ASK HER TO SUPPLY US A BIRTH CERTIFICATE CONCLUDING ONCE AND FOR ALL WHO IS THE REAL MOTHER OF TRIG!
