Kid, there is petition for Keith Olbermann over at Huffingtonpost. Go over there and make sure you sign it.
In defense of MSNBC, they pretty much had to suspend Olbermann. Their ratings are trailing so badly behind FOX that not firing him would have only cemented the notion that MSNBC's only function in life is to air the true leanings of parent news operation NBC. Most are already aware but NBC could not risk losing even a few of their dwindling viewer base. It's all about the money and attracting advertisers. Smaller demographic base viewership represents lesser ad dollars.
